Store your jewelry in a cool and dry place when not worn. We recommend using the jewelry box it came in, which is designed to protect your pieces from environmental factors. The pouch/box prevents the jewelry from getting rubbed and scratched by other pieces, which is one if the reasons why jewelry gets dull and looses it's shine. 

Occasional exposure to tap water will not damage high quality gold plated jewelry, but we recommend avoiding showering with the jewelry on frequently because products like shower gel, soap or shampoo will cause your jewelry to become dull.

Perfumes and Cosmetics

Prioritize styling yourself before putting on your jewelry to avoid direct contact with creams, perfumes, hairsprays, and other cosmetics. Chemicals in these products will damage gold plated jewelry and trigger the corrosion process that could eventually lead to darkening and dulling of the jewelry. To make sure your jewelry lasts for years, make sure that putting your jewelry on is the last step of your dressing up routine. 

Limit DAILY contact with harsh chemicals, chlorides, saltwater, and cleaning agents. These substances can be abrasive to jewelry. If you go for a swim, rinse your jewelry with clean water and ensure jewelry is dried as soon as possible.

Use a jewelry cleaning cloth (coming soon) once a month to gently remove any build up of dust or smudges from frequent wearing. This keeps your jewelry looking its best, maintaining lasting shine and color. When cleaning, be gentle. Avoid vigorous rubbing, as excessive force can gradually wear off the gold plating.

Consider removing your jewelry before sleep to prevent unnecessary rubbing on the gold plating. This can help extend the lifespan of your pieces.
